This year my daughter is 17 and she is competing in the Miss Hawaii Teen USA contest. If she wins she will try to become Miss Teen USA. It's a lot of hard work for girls. Yes we can ski in Hawaii. On the Big Island. Mauna Kea is a 13,796' (4205 meter) volcanic mountain. You need to have a 4x4 car to shuttle people to the top because there are no lifts . Conditions at the top are extremely variable. Winter temperatures range from 25 to 40 degrees F (-4 to 4 C), but wind chill and the high altitude can make it seem much colder. Between April and November the weather is milder. Crazy fun Ski in the morning and Surf in the afternoon.
